Workshop Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Payment

A photography workshop is a shared commitment. Places are limited, and securing a booking may require me to make advance commitments to accommodation providers, local operators, guides, drivers and other suppliers.

• Deposit: A booking deposit is required to secure your place. The deposit is non-refundable to the extent permitted by law and reflects costs and commitments associated with reserving your place and operating a small-group workshop.
• Final Balance: Unless a different payment schedule is stated on the individual workshop page, invoice or booking confirmation, the remaining balance is due in full no later than 120 days before the workshop start date.
• Bookings Within 120 Days: If you book within 120 days of departure, full payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Currency: Unless otherwise stated, workshop prices are quoted and payable in euro (€).
• Late Payment: If payment is not received by the stated deadline, I may treat the booking as cancelled after making reasonable efforts to contact you.
• Payment Methods: Payment may be made using the payment options offered at the time of booking or shown on your invoice.

2. What the Workshop Price Includes

Each workshop is different. The services included in your booking are those specifically listed as included on the relevant workshop page, itinerary, invoice or booking confirmation.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the workshop price does not include:

• International or domestic flights
• Travel or equipment insurance
• Passport or visa costs
• Vaccinations or other medical expenses
• Camera equipment or personal equipment
• Meals not specifically listed as included
• Alcoholic drinks or personal purchases
• Optional activities or excursions
• Airline baggage or excess-baggage charges
• Gratuities unless specifically included

3. If Your Path Changes — Participant Cancellation

Because my workshops are intentionally small, a participant cancelling can have a significant effect on the viability and cost of the trip. If you need to cancel, please notify me in writing as soon as possible.

• More than 120 days before departure: Payments received will be refunded except for the booking deposit and any reasonable, non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred specifically in connection with your booking.
• 91–120 days before departure: 50% of the workshop fee paid, excluding the booking deposit and reasonable non-recoverable third-party costs, will be refundable.
• 90 days or fewer before departure: No refund will normally be available.

Any cancellation charge will always remain subject to applicable consumer law and will not exceed amounts that I am legally entitled to retain.

4. Cancellation or Major Changes by All The Ways You Wander

Occasionally circumstances may make it necessary to cancel, postpone or materially change a workshop. This may include insufficient enrolment, safety concerns, restrictions imposed by local authorities, natural events, serious transport disruption, political instability or other unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances.

If I cancel a workshop before departure, payments made to All The Ways You Wander for services that will not be provided will be refunded in accordance with applicable law.

I am not responsible for independently booked airfare, visas, vaccinations, equipment purchases, accommodation, onward travel or other external costs except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

5. Transferring Your Place

If you are unable to attend, it may be possible to transfer your booking to another eligible participant rather than cancel.

Please contact me at least 30 days before departure where possible. Any substitute participant must meet the trip's health, fitness, documentation, insurance and other participation requirements.

You will be responsible only for reasonable additional costs actually incurred as a result of the transfer, such as supplier name-change or rebooking charges.

6. Itinerary Flexibility & the Ritual of Light

Photography rarely follows a perfect timetable. Weather, light, road conditions, access restrictions, local events, wildlife, transport disruption and safety considerations can all affect a planned itinerary.

I may therefore make reasonable changes to locations, timings, accommodation, transport or the order of activities where necessary or where doing so creates a better photographic opportunity.

Wherever possible, changes will preserve the overall nature, quality and value of the workshop. Any significant changes will be communicated as soon as reasonably practicable.

7. Travel Insurance, Health & Documentation

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are legally and medically able to undertake the journey and that all required travel documents remain valid.

• Travel Insurance: Appropriate travel insurance is mandatory for international workshops unless I confirm otherwise in writing.
• Emergency Medical & Evacuation: For remote, trekking, alpine or high-altitude workshops, your policy must provide suitable emergency medical and evacuation cover for the activities and maximum altitude involved.
• Cancellation: Participants are strongly encouraged to purchase insurance that protects non-refundable travel and workshop costs.
• Medical Information: You are responsible for obtaining appropriate medical advice and for disclosing relevant medical conditions to your insurer where required.
• Travel Documents: You are responsible for passports, visas, permits, vaccinations and entry requirements applicable to your circumstances.
• Participant Information: Any required participant profile, emergency contact information or acknowledgement documentation should normally be completed no later than 60 days before departure.

8. Fitness, Participation & Personal Responsibility

Workshops may involve long days, uneven terrain, early starts, hiking, heat, cold, altitude, remote locations or extended periods outdoors.

Difficulty information such as Easy, Moderate or Challenging is provided as practical guidance. By booking, you confirm that you have considered the physical demands of the trip and are reasonably capable of participating.

If you are unsure whether a trip is appropriate for you, please contact me before booking and seek appropriate professional medical advice where necessary.

9. Conduct & Respect

We are guests in the landscapes, communities and cultures we visit. Participants are expected to respect local customs, wildlife, environments, guides, suppliers and fellow travellers.

I reserve the right to remove a participant from a workshop where their behaviour is abusive, threatening, unlawful, seriously unsafe, persistently disruptive, discriminatory, or materially interferes with the safety or reasonable enjoyment of others.

A refund will not normally be due where participation ends because of serious misconduct, subject always to applicable consumer law.

10. Local Operators & Third-Party Suppliers

Workshops may involve services delivered by third parties such as hotels, airlines, local operators, guides, drivers, transport companies, restaurants and activity providers.

These suppliers may operate under their own terms and conditions. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove any responsibility that All The Ways You Wander has under applicable law for services forming part of your booking.

11. Camera Equipment & Personal Property

Participants remain responsible for looking after their camera equipment, luggage, electronics and other personal property during the journey.

Appropriate photographic-equipment insurance is strongly recommended, particularly when travelling with high-value camera, computer or drone equipment.

12. Risk & Liability

Adventure travel, hiking, photography in natural environments, transportation and international travel involve risks that cannot be entirely eliminated.

All The Ways You Wander will take reasonable care in organising and operating workshops. Participants are also expected to exercise reasonable care, follow safety instructions and make sensible decisions about their own capabilities.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

13. Photography, Media & Privacy

I may occasionally photograph or film behind-the-scenes moments during a workshop in order to document the All The Ways You Wander experience.

Where identifiable images or video of participants are intended for promotional or marketing use, consent may be requested separately. You are free to decline such use without affecting your ability to participate in the workshop.

Personal information supplied for the administration and operation of a workshop will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law and the All The Ways You Wander Privacy Policy.

14. Problems During the Workshop & Complaints

If something is not right during the journey, please tell me or the relevant local supplier as soon as reasonably possible. Many issues can be resolved quickly when raised at the time.

If the issue cannot be resolved during the trip, please contact All The Ways You Wander in writing with the relevant details so that the matter can be reviewed fairly and promptly.

15. Governing Law & Consumer Rights

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Irish law.

Nothing in these terms is intended to restrict any mandatory rights you may have under Irish or European consumer law, including any right you may have to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction where applicable law permits.

If any part of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
