Workshop Terms & Conditions
1. Registration & The Commitment
A photography workshop is a shared promise. To secure your place on a scouting mission or intensive workshop, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. All fees on this site are listed in euros (€).
- Final Balance: The remaining balance is due in full 8 weeks prior to the start of the journey.
- Last-Minute Bookings: For reservations made within 8 weeks of departure, full payment is required immediately.
- Documentation: Participants must provide a completed profile and signed liability waiver no later than 60 days before departure.
2. If the Path Changes (Cancellations)
Because I keep my groups small — often limited to just 5 or 6 photographers — a cancellation significantly impacts the group. My refund policy is structured to protect the feasibility of the expedition.
- More than 120 days out: Full refund of monies paid, minus the initial deposit and any administrative processing fees.
- 90 to 120 days out: 50% of the workshop fee (excluding deposit) is refundable.
- Less than 90 days out: No refunds can be issued. I strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance to protect your investment.
3. Transferring Your Place
If you're no longer able to attend, you may transfer your booking to another eligible photographer instead of cancelling outright, provided you let me know at least 30 days before departure. A small administrative fee may apply to cover rebooking costs. Get in touch as early as possible and I'll do what I can to make it work.
4. Itinerary Flexibility & The Ritual of Light
I chase light, not just timestamps. While my itineraries are carefully crafted, they are "field notes," not rigid contracts. I reserve the right to shift locations or schedules based on weather, safety, or unique photographic opportunities. The goal is always the best possible visual storytelling experience.
5. Responsibility & Physicality
My journeys often involve rugged coastal regions, alpine passes, or the dust of the bush. By registering, you certify that you meet the fitness requirements (Easy/Moderate/Challenging) specified on the workshop page.
- Mandatory Insurance: Emergency medical and evacuation insurance is required for all international workshops.
- Equipment: You are responsible for the safety and insurance of your own camera gear and personal effects.
- Liability: While I navigate with the utmost care, I am not liable for personal injury, property theft, or travel delays.
6. Ethics of the Gaze
We are guests in the landscapes and cultures we visit. I expect all participants to act with professional ethics — respecting local customs, wildlife, and the creative space of fellow photographers. I reserve the right to ask a participant to leave (without refund) if their conduct is disruptive to the "analog ritual" of the group.
7. Captured Moments (Media Release)
During the workshop, I may capture behind-the-scenes images or video for use in documenting the All The Ways You Wander experience. By participating, you grant permission for these to be used on my website or Substack. If you wish to remain private, please notify me in writing prior to the trip.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from a booking will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
